Presentation of the first results of the questionnaire from the project Know-Best, at the 'Hiroshima International Conference'

Teresa Carvalho and Ana Isabel Melo have presented the paper "Teaching and Research Balance in Portuguese Academia: Is it Still Possible to Differentiate between Teaching and Research Institutions?" at the 'Hiroshima International Conference' on 'Academics' Teaching and Research Activities in The Knowledge Society: Main findings from national surveys', which took place in Hiroshima, on the 4th and 5th of March.

New Book: European Higher Education and the Internal Market

The researchers at CIPES - Cristina Sin, Orlanda Tavares, Sónia Cardoso and Maria Pires da Rosa - are the publishers of the book European Higher Education and the Internal Market which has just been published.

Presentation of doctoral thesis

Our visiting researcher Venkat Prakash presented yesterday, at the School of Engineering, Plymouth University, UK, his doctoral thesis entitled "Motivation to Conduct Research in a Rapidly Evolving Academic Environment: Study of Coimbatore’s Engineering Institutions". The research was supervised by Mike Miles, from Plymouth University, and co-supervised by Maria de Lourdes Machado-Talylor, CIPES's senior researcher.
