  • Research Summit 2025

    Yesterday, CIPES researcher Ana Francisca Monteiro represented CIPES at the Research Summit 2025, organised by the Universidade de Aveiro of Aveiro, with the paper “Governance ‘by’ AI: Implications for Higher Education.”

    This presentation comes in the context of the studies on public policies for the digitalisation of higher education currently at CIPES. These aim to analyse what reconfigurations might occur in higher education as digitalisation becomes more deeply integrated into its governance, namely through the use of AI systems.

  • Doctoral Thesis Defence

    On July 8th, Nathan Carvalho defended his doctoral thesis, entitled "Cross-Border Higher Education: Opportunities, Challenges and Implications for Quality Assurance," developed within the scope of the Doctoral Program in Public Policies at the University of Aveiro, with CIPES as the host research unit. Congratulations, Nathan! May this be the beginning of a very successful professional journey!

     

  • EDULEARN25

    CIPES researchers Maria José Sá and Carlos Azevedo participated in the EDULEARN25 - 17th Annual International Conference on Education and New Learning Technologies, held between 30 June and 2 July in Palma de Mallorca, where Carlos Azevedo presented the paper "Linking socioeconomic and educational dimensions in higher education: Students' perspectives on institutional support", authored by Maria José Sá, Joyce Aguiar, Carlos Azevedo and António Magalhães.
