Data Protector Officer: Pedro Luís Silva

Pedro Luís Silva has been the Data Protector Officer (DPO) of CIPES since 2023. He works as a researcher at CIPES and as an Invited Assistant Professor at the School of Economics (FEP) of the University of Porto. He is also a research affiliate with the IZA Institute of Labour Economics and the Global Labour Organization Network (GLO). He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Nottingham and combines econometric methods to research questions and problems in education economics. Pedro works in multidisciplinary teams with researchers from different backgrounds. His research focuses on the Economics of Education, Labour Economics, Microeconometrics and Public Economics. Pedro often works with the General Directorate of Education and Science Statistics (DGEEC), namely the office responsible for data management and access to data for research purposes.
