ENFollowing the release of the final results of the Call for Exploratory Research Projects in All Scientific Domains 2024 , CIPES announces that the research project “Shaping the digital university: An analysis of educational policies, governance models, and governance networks in Portugal,” coordinated by researcher Ana Francisca Monteiro, has been selected for funding.
The study will analyze the policy frameworks, governance models, and stakeholder networks that guide the digitalisation of higher learning in Portugal. This analysis will serve as the basis for discussing the concept of higher learning that emerges from these policies and their implications for the meaning and social role of Higher Education.
The research team is composed of researchers Teresa Carvalho, Cláudia Figueiredo, and Pedro Videira, from CIPES, and Marjukka Mikkonen, from the University of Tampere, Finland. It also includes the participation of researchers Janja Komljenovic, from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, and Neil Selwyn, from Monash University, Australia, as consultants.
