Biographical note: 
I studied sociology and political sciences at the University of Freiburg, Germany. Currently, I am senior researcher at the International Center for Higher Education Research (INCHER), University of Kassel, Germany (I started working at INCHER in March 2009). From October 2020 to September 2021 I was invited visiting professor „Sociology, Methods and Techniques for Empirial Social Research“, Institute for Sociology, RWTH Aachen University, Germany. Since the beginning of 2021, I am a visiting research fellow at CIPES.
