CIPES 4th PhD Student Workshop - Higher Education in Transition: Challenges, Policies, and Future Directions

Last Friday, 12 September, the 4th CIPES PhD Workshop took place at the CIPES premises in Matosinhos. The event was organised by CIPES researchers Carlos Azevedo and Joyce Aguiar. The Director of CIPES, António Magalhães, opened the event, followed by a presentation entitled “Demystifying Peer Review”, delivered by João M Santos, Editor-in-Chief of the journal Higher Education Quarterly.

The event featured the participation of six doctoral students, who presented papers related to their ongoing research:

Secretary of State for Higher Education

CIPES is pleased that Cláudia Sarrico, researcher and member of the Centre's Board, was sworn in as Secretary of State for Higher Education last Friday, 6 June.

Na quarta-feira, dia 28 de maio, pelas 16h00, na sala de seminários do DCSPT (12.3.12), da Universidade de Aveiro, irá ocorrer a edição de março dos Seminários do CIPES.

Nesta edição, contaremos com a apresentação “Knowledge, Power, and Networks in higher education policymaking” realizada por Jaakko Kauko, investigador visitante da Universidade de Tampere, Finlândia.

CDEES project development

On September 1, 2022, CIPES started the development of the project “Cartografia e dinâmicas socioeconómicas dos/as estudantes do ensino superior do Grande Porto e Grande Lisboa [Mapping and socio-economic dynamics of higher education students in Grande Porto and Grande Lisboa]. This project is financed by EDULOG –Think Tank of Education / Belmiro de Azevedo Foundation, and involves the participation, as external consultants, of elements from the Academic Federations and Lisbon and Porto.
